Works in Progress

It seems as though the girls' albums have fallen way behind. Poor CD will be one right away and has a couple of pages and they are not even completed. Here are a few of my recent favorites, don't look too hard, we need to add some of the embellishments that have come loose. I know that these will be a great way to remember their childhood once the journaling is added. Thanks to pb for her inspiration, I think I even "scraplifted" some ideas from her. Thanks for looking.

Fall Day Riding

We were lucky enough to visit a friend's farm. CJ had fun with the kittens.I think that CD wanted to take this one home.
We LOVE Skip! What a beautiful, gentle animal he is. He gave us so many hugs! What a great first experience for the girls to have around horses. We are so glad.
This was CJ's first time on a horse and she loved it! She felt so comfortable and looks like a pro. As soon as her ride was over she wondered when we could come back again.
Skip and CD posing for a picture. I cannot believe how good he was with the "city girls".

One of Daddy, he was feeling a little nervous with his little girl riding. It was a great day, the weather was perfect and the girls had so much fun! What a wonderful family memory we created! Thanks M, D, K, & A and Auntie Viki.

Halloween Cookie Pizza

We picked up a few things after school and got started whipping up our Halloween Cookie Pizza:
Our jumbo cookie started with our basic chocolate chip cookie dough, we added some white chocolate chips, toasted some mini marshmallows the top, sprinkled a few candy corns and CJ finished it off with caramel and chocolate syrup. Oh, my teeth hurt thinking about it!
Here's the finished cookie. CD looks like she's ready to devour it!
CJ enjoying her masterpiece, mmm it's gooey!
CD did enjoy her own cookie, the baby kind, not the candy filled one!

It was us!

Looks like we were found out! It was us who dropped off a little surprise for Saucy and Loopy. We are planning on making more brooms for our friends we know. Here is what the brooms looked like (we are using Saucy's picture, we forgot to snap one before we sent them off.)

Here are the goodies we included in Saucy's: pumpkin spice kisses. Yes, we parted with a few but we knew that they'd be appreciated.

Tonight we are making up a Halloween cookie pizza. We'll post pictures soon!

Autumn Decorating

With autumn upon us we have started decorating for Halloweeen. CJ has the windows plastered with her Disney halloween pictures, we have our fall leaves scattered on the piano and buffet and a few glass containers of various fall treats in them (thanks for the idea Saucy). We have candy corns, gourmet pink and purple strawberry flavour candy corns (CJ's favourite colours) and delicious pumpkin spice Hershey kisses that we discovered.

It seems as though the goblins in my home have been enjoying the kisses, I wish I had more. They were delicious!!

I think that we'll pick up some of these tiny little pumpkins and use some rub-ons and bling to glam them up a bit.

Welcome

I was inspired to start a new blog showcasing my craftiness and time as a Mom to my wonderful daughters. We love spending time together and CJ is getting to an age where she wants to craft with Mommy. We try to get projects completed but with little sister CD interrupting us it takes a little longer than we had planned. Still, we love creating together, go through lots of glitter and we often get carried away and a little silly. Giggles erupt from where ever we are in the house.

It's never to young to start creating. Here CD is with big sister's Aqua Doodle and quite proud of herself!
I am so blessed to have these two beautiful little ladies in my life!
