Happy (or Not So Much) Groundhog Day!

I did not need to see my shadow to know that winter is hanging on. It was a darn chilly walk through the park to work today. Before I left for the morning I drew little groundhogs on all our thumbs and taught CJ a little poem. (Not my thumb, Moto-Moto's)

I'm a little groundhog
Furry and brown
I'm popping up to look around
If I see my shadow down I go
Then six more weeks of winter OH NO!

Usually when I dropped CJ off at school we do a "gimme five" before I leave. Today she pushed her thumb to mine and called it "Groundhog Kisses".

Thanks JL for the great idea, thanks for the witty and wonderful girls. You know it's because of your time and effort with them that makes them the best kids I could ever ask for.

Let's draw cats next time and we'll do "Kitty Kisses"

Love,
Moto Moto

Hi JL,
I'm not sure if your oldest collects Webkinz or not but they have the cutest Groundhog available (I found it at Pharmasave on Central Ave). I realize it's late for this year but maybe it's something to tuck away for next year. My daughter still collects them and just adored the chubby groundhog. It was nice catching up with you on Sunday- perhaps we'll meet again for another charming afternoon in the future.
