It was a fun party!! I love planning her parties!! She has such great ideas and is so appreciative. When all her guests had gone for the day she gave me a big hug and said, "Mommy, thank you for everything you did today!"

Thanks to everyone who could make it and all the wonderful gifts!
Happy Father's Day Moto-Moto

We woke Daddy up by frying bacon... mean I know!
But we also prepared Hole in One Eggs,
homemade hash browns & fruit salad to go with it.
We had planned to go out to the Forestry Farm for a picnic but we got some much needed rain instead.

What did Moto-Mot
o do for Father's Day?

Cleaned out the eaves... in the rain.

Later CJ read to him and gave him the washer necklace that she made. As well as her homemade card & 2 ball caps.

Moto-Moto enjoyed a suppe
r of

Oven Roast Potatoes
Blackberry & Avocado Salad
BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwiches
&
Camouflage Cupcakes for desse
rt (of course)

Thanks for our wonderful daughter's, Moto-Moto!
Happy Father's Day!!

Cupcake Saturday and A Hootenanny

It was a busy, hot afternoon of baking and frosting. It started with
good old game of hide and seek for our friends to find us... sorry
about the tour you had to take to find the kitchen!
Saucy
walked us through how to make Camo-Cupcakes and
Red Velvet Elvis Cupcakes for Father's Day.
Thank you Saucy for ALL your planning, prepping, and
hosting this great event for us!

Look how great they turned out!

CJ was thrilled to give them to Dad!

Look at the sweet card from Karen. She must have designed it to look great
with the Red Velvet Elvis cupcakes!
She is one crafty lady!!
Thank you!
(Leave me a comment so I can link back to you!)

I must admit that I was running things a little Commando there for a bit,
trying to hurry us along. Sorry ladies! You did a great job and it was nice to meet you!

I had to run off to take CJ to her final guitar lesson... a Hootenanny!
CJ's instructor Duane and his family hosted a campfire sing-a-long for all this year's students and their families. The girls had so much fun and CJ is planning what we'll be singing when we go camping! (Yes, camping Saucy!!)

It was a fun, busy, good day!!

Fairy Party 2008

We've been
busy girls but having so much fun! Last weekend we had a
family BBQ and celebrated the Sprout's First Birthday!
We are busy planning CJ's 6th birthday~ Hannah Montana theme.
Here's what we did for her 5th last year:

We started the morning with Chocolate Birthday Waffles!

The invitations were super simple.

The poem says:

Come to where the fairies roam,
A beautiful place they call their home.
The happy fairies will dance and play
To celebrate
CJ’s 5th birthday!

Sunday June 22nd

11:00-1:30

Address

The party’s at 11:00,

please say you’ll fly by

CJ’s fairy godmother

awaits your reply!

Favor bags with fairy dust and other little treasures in organza bags.

The fairy wand is Rice Krispie treats dipped in pink chocolate and sprinkles with the note that reads "Thank you for the gift, it was fairy sweet of you!"

Fairy cake (of course) with flower cupcakes.

My dear cousin picked up this little fairy costume for CJ.
(She also found me a pink grad gown from the 80's which I didn't get around to wearing!)

We made toad stools for the girls to sit on for lunch but played
Musical Toadstools first.

A Fairy hunt ...
Lunch was leaf shaped sandwiches, veggies, strawberry lady bugs and
Fairy fizz punch. We rimmed the glasses with pink sugar and put
Pop rocks in the bottom of the glasses so when the punch was poured in
it started to crack and snap. The girls thought it was pretty magical!

A flower ribbon pull pinata... didn't think it was right to have a bunch of
fairies bashing at at pinata!

It is always so much fun planning her parties! I think she has themes picked until she is 10!

It's hard to believe a year has gone past already! Kindergarten farewell this month and then off to grade one in the fall!! Wow! You sure have grown up quickly! We are so proud of you!!
Love you CJ!
